The Code Panel
The Members of the Code Panel during 2007 were as follows:
• Lord Dubs of Battersea (Former Chairman of the Broadcasting Standards Council)
• Caroline Banks (Retired Director of Consumer Regulation Enforcement Division, OFT)
• Tina Tietjen (Chairman: Air Transport Users Council)
• Bryn Aldridge (Former Chairman: The Trading Standards Institute)
• Stuart Sweetman (Retired MD Post Office Counters Limited)
The Code Panel will hear appeals from Code Members against decisions taken by the Code Manager, and will also oversee the operation of the Code, putting forward recommendations to the Board and the Code Manager.
The Panel will receive, as appropriate, formal reports from the Code Manager. The Panel will meet quarterly to allow consideration of the Code Manager’s report and to receive presentations on operational aspects of the Code from representatives of a Member company.
