Governance and Administration of the Code
The operations of the Billing Code are directed through the Billing Code Governing Board. There are 6 members of the Board, five of which are nominated by the ERA Billing Code Member companies and the Chairman who also holds the post of Head of Operations at the ERA.
The current Board Members are:
• John Gunter (Head of Operations of the ERA)
• Philip Arend (Centrica)
• Paula Lowry (EDF Energy)
• Paul Finch (npower)
• Elizabeth Twort (Powergen)
• Jacqueline Gehrmann (Scottish Power)
During 2007 the Billing Code Governing Board directed an update of the Code to ensure that the Code reflected best practice within the industry and the lessons learned from the 2007 Code Audit.
